For nonprofits

Social fundraising tools built around trust.

Seedling helps eligible nonprofits and their supporters launch campaign pages, share updates, run live giving moments, use QR codes, and build momentum around charitable work.

Campaign setup and updates

Start with one clear giving action or add goals, giving tiers, updates, shared campaigns, and matching moments when they help the mission.

  • Preview and campaign videos
  • Flexible goals and giving tiers
  • Supporter updates and milestones
  • Links, QR codes, embeds, and event displays

Privacy, records, and moderation

Donor contact information is shared with a selected nonprofit only when the donor affirmatively opts in. Seedling provides donation records and receipts where supported and offers campaign moderation tools. Current fee and payout details should be confirmed with the Seedling team during onboarding.

Nonprofit FAQ

Can sponsors match donations?

Yes. Sponsors can support campaigns through matching gifts, timed challenges, and other giving initiatives that encourage more people to participate.

Can multiple Seedlings support one larger campaign?

Yes. A campaign can include many individual Seedlings, each with its own story, audience, and fundraising page. Every donation automatically contributes toward the shared campaign goal.

How can nonprofits use Seedling?

Launch campaigns with video stories, post updates, engage supporters, run matching campaigns, display live giving at events, and manage giving records—all in one platform. Start simple and add more features as your campaign grows.

How does Seedling help nonprofits reach new donors?

Supporters, volunteers, creators, alumni, parents, employees, and community members can create Seedlings that introduce your organization to their own networks. Every Seedling expands your reach while supporting the same nonprofit.

Do I have to work for a nonprofit to raise money for it?

No. Anyone can create a Seedling for a verified nonprofit they care about. Donations always go directly to the nonprofit—not to the person who created the campaign.

Is Seedling only for big nonprofits?

No. Seedling works for organizations of every size. Launch a simple campaign or build a larger initiative with multiple Seedlings, updates, matching gifts, and live giving experiences.

Why don't we receive donor emails by default?

Because donor trust comes first. Donors decide whether to share their contact information with your organization, helping build relationships through permission rather than assumption.

Why does a Seedling need approval before it goes live?

Every public Seedling is reviewed before publication to verify nonprofit eligibility, campaign content, and the destination of charitable funds. This review helps maintain a trusted platform for donors and nonprofits alike.

What if the Charity Navigator information is wrong?

Charity data comes from Charity Navigator and other public sources. If information appears incorrect, organizations should update the original source whenever possible. Seedling can also update information within supported areas of the platform.

When do nonprofits receive funds?

Campaign funds are distributed according to Seedling's charitable policies after campaign completion and required review. Organizations receive updates throughout the process.
